After landing in Anchorage we had some travel time to get to Chitina. From there we would take a plane to McCarthy, and then yet another plane to Hubert’s landing.
Snapped this photo from the road:
Yup thats a glacier.
Once in Chitina, we left our car and boarded the smallest plane I’ve ever been on. Oddly the ride was a lot smoother then many of it’s larger cousins.
Boarding the plane.
Perfect day for a plane ride, here’s a glacier close up.
And finally we get to McCarthy. It was a really cool resort town, with a winter time population of like 15. This little town was awesome. The weather sunny and there was some kind of cotton tree in the area. Whenever the wind would blow the air would fill with these little cotton like seeds that when struck by sunlight looked like snow.
